Terms of Service
Welcome to docbox. Please read these terms carefully before using the service. By signing in via Google and using docbox (web app, Chrome extension, Viewer popup), you confirm that you have read and agree to these terms.
1. Service description
docbox is a personal-use document keeper providing folder/file upload, organization, viewing, and recycle bin management. Each Google account maps to a separate docbox account; data is fully isolated between accounts.
2. Account and quotas
- You must sign in with a genuine Google account. Creating multiple abusive accounts is prohibited.
- Per-account storage cap is 200 MB, single-file cap is 20 MB. Recycle-bin items count against the quota.
- You are responsible for all content in your account. Keep your Google account secure.
3. Prohibited content
You may NOT upload or store:
- Material that infringes copyrights, trademarks, patents, or other IP rights of third parties.
- Files containing viruses, trojans, or malicious scripts.
- Content that violates the laws of the People's Republic of China.
- Material clearly intended for mass distribution rather than personal use.
Accounts violating these rules may be suspended and all data deleted without compensation.
4. Service availability
docbox is currently a free service provided on a best-effort basis. We will work to keep it available but make no commitment about brief downtime or data loss in extreme cases. Keep local backups of important documents.
5. Content ownership
Content you upload to docbox remains yours. We store and access it only as required to provide the service — no redistribution, no commercial use, no algorithm training.
6. Optional AI / MCP connector
If you connect docbox to Claude or another MCP-compatible AI client at /connect/claude, you grant that client scoped access to act on your behalf. You can revoke this access at any time. We are not responsible for the behavior of any third-party AI client, only for what docbox itself does.
7. Termination
- You may stop using docbox at any time and request account deletion via email.
- We reserve the right to suspend accounts and delete data due to prolonged inactivity (12+ months without sign-in), violation of these terms, or legal risk, with advance notice via the email on file.
8. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, docbox is not liable for indirect, incidental, or punitive damages arising from the use of this service.
9. Changes
If these terms change, we'll surface a notice on the web app and update the "Last updated" date above. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
